Join MAGiC for a half day of education, networking and fun!
The Sunday prior to the beginning of NAViGATE, MAGiC will have a half day of sessions and an optional outing to Top Golf ($35 fee). This event is open to everyone and there is not a session fee for the meeting. Come network with IBM i experts and other IBM i users to learn tips and techniques and what is HOT in the IBM i space!
Our session will include:
Web Services: A RESTful introduction
Patrick Behr will introduce the basics of web services, with a focus on HTTP, JSON, and RESTful principles, and also demonstrate how to consume and provide APIs from IBM i.
Making Open Source work for you, a real life example
Chris Hird will share his experience working with Open Source how they integrated it into their solution. He will discuss initial concept at the start and how it evolved. Having seen the problems with the existing design, we had to pivot and develop our own source and process. We should be mindful that Open source is a framework and not necessarily a fully-fledged solution.
Chris will share challenges, benefits and lessons learned that resulted in what is AAG today.
Open Round Table
Panel: Patrick Behr, Chris Hird, Mike Pavlak and Justin Loeber
You will have an opportunity to ask your questions of the experts - So have your questions ready! You can also submit your question so we will be sure to answer it!
We will be serving snacks and drinks during this session! Thanks to our our sponsors IBM and CloudFirst!
