A Journey to a New Warehouse and Being Data Driven in 2023

Abstract:

This presentation discusses the challenges and solutions in delivering a large-scale Warehouse Management System (WMS) IT project on the IBM i platform. The project required the team to design, develop, and implement a WMS system capable of handling high volumes of inventory and order management for a large distribution center. The abstract covers the strategies used to manage the project with limited resources and the technical solutions employed to optimize the performance of the WMS system. Additionally, it highlights the importance of project planning and communication in ensuring the successful completion of a complex IT project with a lean team.  

In addition, we will discuss the importance of being data-driven in 2023, as data has become a critical resource for organizations across industries. We explore the benefits of data-driven decision-making, such as improved business outcomes, increased efficiency, and reduced costs, and how IT Teams can contribute.
